Downhole oil-water separation method is designed to solve two major problems—the produced water lifting, storage and processing problems, and the environment issues related to the water processing—faced by the high water cut oil fields, and proposed a solution. With the oil-water separator and ancillary equipment, the high water cut flow can be processed downhole directly, the oil-rich separated liquid can be pumped to the ground, and the remaining low oil flow can be injected into the target layer within the same well. The system meets the different requirements of the “upper production & lower injection” and “lower production & upper injection” processes, greatly reducing the liquid-processing job on the ground.
