COATING SYSTEM:  Internal Primed FBE & External Inorganic Zinc Rich Coating

BACKGROUND:

The Dangote Refinery and Petrochemicals Project (DRPP) locates in Dangote Industries, Lekki Free Trade Zone, Nigeria. The project requests primed FBE coating for the carbon steel piping system formed with line pipes, spools, insert sleeves, etc.
Altogether 502 joints of line pipes of 3 different sizes were applied with internal FBE coating (phenolic primer + FBE topcoat). Both the phenolic primer and FBE powder used were self-brands of Tyhoo Co., Ltd. The external surfaces were applied with inorganic zinc rich paint for temporary protection.
