It is the first climate change adaptation project globally and consists of the construction and operation of a multipurpose and multi-client seawater desalination plant. The desalinated water produced by this project will allow the addition of a new non-continental, permanent, safe and sustainable source of water to the water balance of the Aconcagua basin, favoring adaptation to the climate crisis; and, at the same time, prioritizing the use of continental waters for human consumption over productive activity, benefiting its inhabitants and the environment.
