In the second half of 2023, TYHOO successfully won the bids for the internal and external custom coating of the piping system for FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading Vessel) P82 of Petrobras in Brazil contracted by COSCO and for FLNG (Floating Liquefied Natural Gas Production Storage and Offloading Vessel) of ENI in Italy contracted by WISON.
COSCO has outstanding strength and rich experience in the field of marine engineering. The N1151 P-82 FPSO contracted by it this time is the largest FPSO project in the world at present. The total length of the ship is 360 meters, the width is 60 meters, the depth is 34.3 meters, the total weight of the ship's steel structure is more than 80,000 tons, the designed oil storage capacity is 1.6 million barrels, and the daily production capacity is 225,000 barrels of oil and 12 million cubic meters of natural gas. It is planned to be deployed in the Buzios oil field in Brazil and will be delivered and put into use in 2026.
Wison also has strong technical advantages and innovation capabilities in new energy fields such as offshore engineering and wind power. This FLNG is independently designed and built by Wison, the first time a Chinese enterprise served as the general contractor in a large FLNG project, which is 380 meters long, 60 meters wide, and 35 meters deep. It uses an underwater soft steel arm system for fixed mooring and can store more than 180,000 cubic meters of LNG and 45,000 cubic meters of LPG. After delivery, it will be deployed in the sea area about 50 kilometers offshore in Zone 12 of Congo and with a water depth of about 40 meters to 50 meters.
TYHOO's post-curing primed FBE coating solution has excellent properties such as heavy corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and impact resistance. TYHOO has applied the coating for about 12,000 pieces of various shaped prefabricated pipelines ranging from 1.5" to 64" in these two projects, providing high-quality internal coating and surface anti-corrosion treatment for pipelines used in special ships to make them adapt to the complex and harsh working conditions of marine engineering.
This is also the first application of Primed FBE coating technology in special ships internationally to ensure a design life of 25 years. The pipeline in the ship conveys seawater and sewage for fire-fighting water systems, ballast chamber systems and living cabin systems. The coated pipeline can partially replace dual-phase stainless steel pipes and copper-nickel alloy pipes, greatly reducing the construction costs.
In the past few years, TYHOO has accumulated valuable anti-corrosion construction experience in multiple offshore engineering projects, and this breakthrough in special ships is undoubtedly the high recognition of TYHOO's technical strength and service quality by customers. These two orders have further strengthened the close connection between TYHOO and the field of marine engineering.
