August 2024, TYHOO announced that it has successfully completed all internal FBE coating prefabricated piping spools for the Saudi Aramco MARJAN project, marking the successful completion of this major project that lasted for two years. 

As the only pipeline coating plant in China that has passed Saudi Aramco's certification, TYHOO has won high recognition from Saudi Aramco and its international partners with its excellent technical strength and strict quality control.

Since 2020, TYHOO has been working closely with the US giant Contractor McDermott, China Offshore Oil Engineering Corporation COOEC, and Qingdao McDermott Wuchang Shipbuilding Company QMW to actively promote the coating construction work of the MARJAN project. The three coating orders completed by TYHOO include a total of over 10,000 pieces of prefabricated pipes with complex shapes ranging from 2 inches to 60 inches, which are all processed with internal FBE coating at TYHOO's SHOP-2 coating factory in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province.

During the two-year production process, TYHOO team overcame numerous challenges to ensure the timely delivery of the project. The coating factory specializes in providing customized internal and external coatings for prefabricated pipes, bends, flanges, and pipe fittings of various sizes. The largest prefabricated pipe processed for the MARJAN project is 12 meters long, 4.5 meters wide, and 3.9 meters high, with a maximum weight of 21 tons per piece. TYHOO, with its advanced equipment and exquisite craftsmanship, ensures that every pipe meets the strict quality standards of Saudi Aramco. TYHOO effectively allocated resources through excellent project management to ensure the timely completion of the project and worked with the team and suppliers to overcome obstacles to ensure the successful delivery of the project on time.

The successful completion of the MARJAN project not only demonstrates TYHOO's leading position in the field of pipeline coating, but also further consolidates the company's partnership with Saudi Aramco and international partners. The Package 1 GOSP separation platform of the MARJAN project is located offshore in the eastern wing of the Arabian Gulf and is the operation center for the Marjan incremental project. This landmark project, valued at over $3 billion, is the largest engineering, procurement, construction and installation EPCI offshore contract ever awarded by Saudi Aramco, the world's largest oil production company.

The core objective of the project is to increase Saudi Aramco’s production capacity at Marjan, a strategic asset located on the eastern side of the Arabian Gulf. By developing Package 1, especially the gas-oil separation plant (GOSP), McDermott and COOEC will significantly increase the oil production of the oil field from 500,000 barrels per day to 800,000 barrels per day. This expansion underscores the pivotal role of the Marjan oil field in Saudi Arabia's energy security and global oil supply.
