CNOOC Iraq Limited, acting as lead contractor of the Technical Service Contract for Missan Oil Fields entered into by and between Missan Oil Company.
Missan Oil Field is located in the SE of Iraq, close to the border with Iran, some 175 kilometers N-NW of the city of Basrah, and 350km SE of Bagdad – the capital of Iraq. Missan Oil Field includes three producing fields such as Abu Ghirab, Buzurgan and Fauqi. Abu Ghirab and Fauqi fields straddle the border with Iran. Missan Oil Field was built in 1976, and suffered from Iran-Iraq War and Iraq War. Many facilities are needed to be maintenanced and upgraded.
The diameter of the line pipes for this project is from 16 inch to 18 inch and the total quantity of pipes is 85 km. Aassociated gas and oil mixture from the degassing station is transported separately via trunk lines to junctions and subsequently sent to the BUT field.

In order to provide a suitable internal coating protection with strong adhesion working for more than 20 years transporting crude oil with sour gas, water, chloride etc, the pipeline operation maximum temperature is 110-125℃. Tyhoo has proposed to CNOOC IRAQ to apply internal Solvent-free Epoxy-Phenolic Coating SigmaLine2000/PPG with external 3LPP coating as a suitable solution.

SIGMAINE2000 is a two-component, solvent-free, amine-cured phenolic epoxy coating, developed for high-end anticorrosive performance and high chemical, high temperature resistance, widely used as internal lining for oil transportation. The main properties as following:
