DESCRIPTION: Valve internal primed FBE coating
BACKGROUND:
This case study shows the solution of valve internal Primed FBE coating on Construction of West Kuwait Mega complex according to the requirement of KOC-P-005 STD, and defines the coating materials proposed in this project.
Tyhoo owns the only post-curing line pipe internal primed FBE/liquid epoxy coating production line in China. The internal FBE/liquid epoxy coating production line has a design capacity of 800,000 square meters per year applicable for pipe diameter ranges from 114mm to 1219mm, and coating thickness ranges from 250 to 600um (typical).
Tyhoo's pipe internal FBE coating line adopts Sucking Oven Posted-curing System with liquid phenolic epoxy primer (or other type of liquid primer) with fusion bonded epoxy coating, with heating cleaning oven to remove any oil, grease or oxide contamination on pipe surface and continuous long-time high temperature post curing to ensure the internal FBE coating’s adhesion strength, compactness, anti-heavy-corrosion ability, anti-abrasion ability and other key mechanical and chemical resistance ability. Tyhoo’s internal FBE coating system is applicable to be used for transporting drinking water, sea water, desalinated sea water, sewage, oilfield sewage, slurry and other special medium. The coating has much higher cost performance compared with internal rubber liner, internal high density polyethylene liner or other anti-corrosion solutions.
